GOODYEAR, AZ — Goodyear police are investigating after a man’s body was found in a canal late Sunday morning.
Officers were called around 11:30 a.m. to the area of South Sarival Avenue and MC 85 after someone fishing nearby reported seeing what looked like a body in the water.
Police confirmed the discovery of a deceased man and said detectives are treating it as a body recovery operation.
No further details have been released as the investigation continues.
