LYNWOOD, Calif. (KABC) — A person was found dead early Wednesday at an apartment building in Lynwood, prompting authorities to launch a homicide investigation.
By late morning, few details had been released about the grim discovery at the three-story building in the 3100 block of Euclid Avenue, just east of Santa Fe Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, firefighter-paramedics responded at 12:39 a.m. to an emergency medical services call at the location.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Century station later confirmed an active homicide investigation was underway at the scene.
The spokesperson referred further questions about the incident to the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau. The bureau did not immediately respond to ABC7’s request for comment.
Video from AIR7 showed that the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner also responded to the scene.
No arrests were announced and no description of a suspect was released.
