Kamala Harris to speak at Golden 1 Center in 2026

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Former Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to visit downtown Sacramento a special event at Golden 1 Center.

Harris wrote about her brief run for president in her book “107 Days,” which was released in September. She began her short presidential campaign after Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 election.

“During this special event, Harris will share what she saw, what she learned, and what it will take to move forward,” a press release from Golden 1 Center said. “With nuance, candor, and a unique perspective, Harris will lead a conversation about how we collectively chart a blueprint that sets an alternative vision for our country now.”

Tickets for the speaking event go on sale to the public on Thursday at 10 a.m.

Harris was born in Oakland and started her career as a prosecutor, later becoming the District Attorney of San Francisco. She later served as the Attorney General of California and a U.S. Senator in California before becoming the vice president during Biden’s term in office.
