PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Another round of mostly dry and pleasant autumn conditions remains for Portland on Tuesday before the next round of rain arrives.

Mostly cloudy skies will remain overhead on Tuesday as afternoon temperatures warm into the mid to upper 50s along the Willamette Valley. A few brief and light rain showers are possible along the coast before sunset Tuesday evening and a few of those showers could move into the greater Portland-Vancouver area.

Portland’s next round of rain arrives late on Tuesday night and continues through Wednesday morning. Rain accumulation could be near a quarter to a half inch from the Coast to the foothills of the Cascades.

Snow levels could fall as low as 5,000′ with the greatest amount of snow falling around Mt. Hood. An additional three to six inches is possible on top of the nearly two feet of new snow the Cascades saw over the weekend.

A mostly dry weather pattern will take Portland through the end of the month of October. A few rain showers are possible late Halloween night, but timing still remains unclear. Another round of wet weather arrives this weekend.
