(FOX40.COM) — With Halloween just around the corner, families across the 209 area are soaking up the fall season activities, and one Modesto farm is helping them make the most of it.

Dutch Hollow Farms is buzzing with activity as hundreds of visitors are coming out to enjoy the pumpkin patch, photo ops, tractor rides, and the famous corn maze.

“It is a great time of year. Everybody seems to be having a great time while they’re here at the farm,” said Dutch Hollow Farms owner John Bos.

Despite recent rain slowing business slightly, staff say they are still expecting this to be one of their busiest seasons.

This year, the farm features more than 45 different varieties of pumpkins, making it easy for visitors to find the perfect one for carving and decorating. Along with rows of thousands of pumpkins, the property has laid out new concrete paths for easier walkways and has filled the property with colorful backdrops and blooming flowers.

“It’s hard not to get the perfect fall picture here,” said Bos.

Guests can also enjoy tractor rides, games, zip lining, and a tractor-themed corn maze.

No trip to Dutch Hollow Farms would be complete without a stop inside the petting zoo, where kids can meet cows, chickens, goats, pics, and more.

As the season transitions from Halloween to Dia de los Muertos, Dutch Hollow Farms will stay open into early November for a Marigold-picking experience.

“I actually grew some African marigolds this year. They’re absolutely stunning,” said Bos. “I think we’re going to allow people to pick those and, take them home with them. And I think that’s going to be part of their, paid admission.”
