Arrests were made in Franklin County and High Point on Wednesday after a tip was submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in connection with a series of child sex crimes.
Dillon Thomas Bates was arrested and charged with three counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor after a search of a home in Franklin County.
Sierra Star Fortner was arrested after a search of a home in High Point. She was charged with 10 counts of first degree sexual exploitation of a minor, two counts of statutory sex offense with a minor by an adult, two counts of indecent liberties with a child, and two counts of felony child abuse-sexual act.
The SBI investigation is ongoing.
