Chopper 7 over box truck crash on I-57 on South Side

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chopper 7 was over a box truck crash on I-57 on Chicago’s South Side on Wednesday.

The crash happened on the southbound lanes of I-57 past Halsted Street, video shows.

At about 7:20 a.m. crews were working to tow the box truck and clear the scene.

The truck was the only vehicle seen at the scene with damage.

It was not clear if any major injuries were reported in the crash.

Firetrucks were blocking all three lanes of I-57, causing major delays for the morning commute.
