Youngster aged between four and six was seen riding his bike with no adults nearby in the Kings Cross Road and Kingsway Retail Park areas of Dundee.

Police have released a CCTV image in an appeal for information about a young boy cycling alone in Dundee.

Officers were received reports of concern for a boy, aged between 4-6 years-old, seen riding his bicycle with no adults nearby in the Kings Cross Road and Kingsway Retail Park areas of Dundee around 3.20pm on Saturday.

Officers attended but the boy was no longer in the area.

A CCTV image of the child’s clothing and bike has been released by the force.

He is described as wearing a white jumper, shorts and purple trainers with short blonde hair and was riding a very distinctive lime green BMX style bike.

Inspector Alan Baird said: “Thank you to everyone that has shared our appeal and called in with information, but we still have not traced this boy.

“We are releasing the CCTV image of the bike he was riding in the hope that someone recognises it.

“We want to make sure the boy is ok and is with his carers. If anyone recognises the description of the boy and knows who he is, please contact police.

“Also if the guardians of the boy see this and can confirm he is safe and well, please get in touch.”

You can call 101 quoting incident 2038 of 18 October, 2025.

On Monday morning, cops confirmed the boy had since been identified, and spoken to his family.

No further police action was required and cops thanked the public for their assistance.
