(FOX40.COM) — A South Land Park woman says she’s been living on edge after an unknown man has appeared on her porch at least four times in the middle of the night.
The visits began after her home was broken into on August 29, when someone stole thousands of dollars worth of electronics. That incident prompted Paula to install several security cameras around her property.
After the cameras went up, she says the man started showing up. “So we get the ring cam. We do all the things a homeowner should do. You put cameras up, alert your neighbors, put fliers up… and he still came back,” Paula said.
In some clips, she says the man can be seen moving the cameras away. “The second and the third time, he didn’t take anything. He just came onto the property, tried to break up the fence in the back, the side gate. And then he grabs the cameras, takes them off and puts them on the ground,” she said.
Paula recently added a sign to her front door warning that she is armed.
The South Land Park Neighborhood Association released a statement:
“We encourage all neighbors to stay alert, report suspicious activity to law enforcement, and look out for one another. Safety is a community effort, and we’re working closely with local police to ensure residents feel secure in their homes.”
Paula says she’s filed multiple police reports with Sacramento Police, and she hopes the cameras, fliers, and warning sign will provide some peace of mind.
Anyone with information about the unknown man is urged to contact Sacramento Police.
