PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Protests at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility Thursday night resulted in three arrests from Portland police, but the number of federal arrests remains a mystery.
KOIN 6 News observed a federal chase overnight. Video captured by crews on the ground shows federal agents chasing someone in a targeted arrest near the intersection of S Bancroft Street and Bond Avenue.
The suspect got away, and agents were seen walking back to the ICE facility.
It is not clear how many other arrests federal agents may have made in Portland on Thursday night.
KOIN 6 News reached out to ICE for clarification on the attempted arrest and the exact number of arrests made Thursday night.
“ICE is conducting routine law enforcement operations across the nation on a daily basis. Due to our operational tempo and increased interest in our mission, we are not able to research every arrest,” according to the ICE media team.
The attempted arrest can be viewed in the video player above.
