A 62-year-old Connecticut man has died days after he was seriously injured in a skydiving accident in Massachusetts.
Robert Szabo was involved in a skydiving accident last Saturday at the Orange Municipal Airport, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.
Szabo was taken by ambulance to the UMass Medical Center in Worcester following the accident, where he remained until he died on Tuesday night.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by state police ssigned to the district attorney’s office and the Federal Aviation Administration.
No further details about what happened have been released.
Orange is a town of about 7,500 residents located in Franklin County, about 30 miles west of Fitchburg. Orange Municipal Airport is a public airport that is owned by the town.
