2025/2026 season
September 29, 2025: The Bechtler Trio
Explore the beauty of the dance genre.
This unique concert bridges the Central European folk traditions from Dvořák and
Brahms with the broader European and Latin American dance rhythms such as the sultry
Nuevo Tango from Piazzolla, the Spanish dances by Granados to the cosmopolitan
rhythms of Paul Juon. Each composer interprets the dance rhythms and styles through
their national lens.
October 6, 2025: Carolina Pro Musica: German Ingenuity

cantata 202, violin sonata BWV 1021, Handel trio HVW 390 and Bach’s Sinfo-
nia to BWV 196 . Sung Lee appears as oboe soloist.
November 17, 2025: Kevin Lawrence, violin with Polina Khatsko, piano
N.C. University of the Arts faculty in a recital of sonatas by Beethoven and Grieg, plus a
work by Virginia composer Judith Shatin inspired by Psalm 139.

the music itself and what it can achieve.”
