CTA celebrating 78th anniversary with vintage train cars

The Chicago CTA is turning 78 Wednesday and it’s running vintage rail cars dating back to the 1920s in the Loop.

CHICAGO (WLS) — The CTA is turning 78 today and it’s turning back the hands of time!

Vintage rail cars dating back to the 1920s will be rolling through the Loop, but you don’t have much time.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

People can enjoy a ride between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday only.

Unfortunately you still have to pay the standard fare of $2.50, not the five cents that it cost in the 1920s. The train will be making all regular Loop stops.
