Around 3:21 a.m., Metro Fire crews were dispatched due to reports of a duplex house fire on Le Ann Drive. When firefighters arrived, they found a well-involved garage fire had extended into the home, officials said.

Officials said that the neighbors who live across the street from the house quickly called 911 after spotting the fire and helped ensure no one was inside the residence. The neighbors told Metro Fire that the homeowner had already left for work before the fire started.

Metro Fire said the crews made an aggressive fire attack, conducted a primary search and confirmed the home was unoccupied. Fire personnel confirmed the fire has been contained and are now determining the cause and origin of the fire.

No injuries were reported among residents or Metro Fire personnel.
