Man shot, killed in Durham on Capps Street, police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) — A man was killed Tuesday morning in a shooting in Durham, police said.

It happened in the 1900 block of Capps Street around 9:45 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of gunshots and found a man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

Investigators are on scene working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. A suspect has been detained, Durham Police Department said.

This is an ongoing investigation, and the incident appears to be isolated. More information will be released at a later time.
