(FOX40.COM) — The Stockton Police Department arrested a 39-year-old suspect on Saturday evening for multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and attempted kidnapping.

On the 400 Block of West Poplar Street, a 14-year-old victim was in front of his residence when the suspect tried to lure him into her vehicle. SPD said a 45-year-old woman tried to confront the suspect, she brandished a firearm and attempted to strike the woman with her vehicle.
While fleeing the area, the suspect attempted to strike two boys, ages 12 and 7, with her vehicle. Officials stated that all victims were uninjured.
When they arrived at the scene, officers attempted an enforcement stop of the vehicle and the suspect failed to yield. After a pursuit, police said officers were able to disable the vehicle and take the suspect into custody.
The suspect was identified as Apolonia Plazola, according to SPD. Officials reported she faces charges for assault with a deadly weapon, attempted kidnapping, child abuse, auto theft, possession of stolen property and traffic charges.
