The Madison County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on the potential whereabouts of three inmates who escaped from the Madison County Jail rec-yard on Sept. 14.
MCSO and other law enforcement agencies continue the search for Dillon Decker, 32, Brandon Forbes, 43, and Cameron Campbell, 23.
The investigation continues as law enforcement interviews known associates, family members and searches several addresses.
Decker, who has ties to Middle Tennessee, may have fled to that area in a utility truck that was stolen the morning of the escape, according to a Tuesday afternoon press release from the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office also identified a social media post made by a local media outlet, concerning the alleged recovery of the utility truck on Hollywood Drive in Jackson, as misinformation.
MSCO confirmed that law enforcement has not recovered the truck, and Decker remains at large.
A stolen truck believed to be connected to three inmates, Dillon Decker, Cameron Campbell, Brandon Forbes, who escaped from the Madison County Jail rec-yard on Sept. 14, 2025.
“There have been multiple misinformation social media posts by this media outlet, which only creates confusion and frustration within the community and personnel tasked with investigating this incident,” the release said.
Both Forbes and Campbell have ties to Jackson-Madison County, and Forbes is reported to have been at a Jackson resident on the same day of the escape.
MSCO says it is currently believed that both Forbes and Campbell could be assisted by others in the Jackson-Madison County area.
Sheriff Julian Wiser is reported to have also opened an internal investigation into the matter, which is conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division.
“After a thorough investigation has been completed, let there be no mistake, appropriate measures will be taken to address any negligent actions by corrections personnel,” the release said. “At the conclusion of this internal investigation, a complete account of all actions taken will be made available.”
While the sheriff’s office is asking for the assistance of the community in leading to the arrest of the escapees, they urge the public not to approach the individuals. Instead, call 911, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at (731) 423-6000, or Crime Stoppers at (731) 424-8477.
A reward of $2,500 is being offered for each escapee for information that leads to their apprehension.
