Officials say one person was stabbed and is being flown to a hospital to be treated.
NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) — A robbery suspect was stabbed with a samurai sword Tuesday morning during a home invasion in Norristown, Montgomery County.
Police were called to the unit block of East Blackberry Alley around 8:45 a.m. for a report of a break-in. A man matching the suspect’s description was found nearby on the 600 block of Cherry Street, suffering from stab wounds.
Investigators followed a trail of blood that led them to the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Marcus Armstrong. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition. He is expected to be charged with burglary and robbery.
Inside the home, officers recovered a samurai sword with fresh blood on it in the room where two victims had been hiding until police arrived.
No other injuries were reported in the incident
