HATFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The right lane of I-91 northbound in Hatfield is closed following a serious motor vehicle accident Sunday afternoon.
Massachusetts State Police said that at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, troopers were called to I-91 north at mile marker 29.3 in Hatfield regarding a one-car crash. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle as a result of the accident and sustained serious injuries.
Fire and emergency medical personnel are currently in the area, and the right lane has been shut down following the crash. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is assisting with closures.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
