Connor Elliot Lopez died while riding his motorcycle on April 23 in the area of Sheldon Road, near Lewis Stein Road.

A Celebration of life is being held from noon to 4 p.m. at 9950 Elk Grove, Florin Road, to honor and celebrate Lopez’s birthday, who would have turned 24 on Sept. 11, according to the family.

The family said Lopez was a classically trained pianist and taught piano at New Songs School of Music.

Through the music school, the Connor Lopez Music Scholarship will be given out to the recipient at the event in an effort to continue the legacy of Lopez, the family said.

According to Lopez’s mother, the Elk Grove mayor will be in attendance, and Lopez’s favorite meals, including Taco Bell and Corona, will be served.
