Sep. 14—BEMIDJI — First City Squares will host dances from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays each month through May at the Bemidji United Methodist Church, 924 Beltrami Ave NW.
A potluck dinner will follow each dance.
Dances are set for the following dates:
* Sunday, Sept. 21 with caller Abe Maier. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the theme of summer fun/summer work, a release said.
* Sunday, Oct. 19 with caller Charlie Huhtala. The theme is Halloween.
* Sunday, Nov. 16 with caller Bill Van Bergen. The potluck theme is Minnesota hotdish.
* Sunday, Dec. 21 with caller Brian Freed. The theme is traditions of Christmas.
* Sunday, Jan. 18 with caller Charlie Huhtala. The potluck theme is soup and sandwich.
* Sunday, Feb. 15 with caller Brian Freed. This is the Valentine Dance.
* Sunday, March 15 with caller Charlie Huhtala. The theme is St. Patrick’s Day.
* Sunday, April 19 with caller Tom Allen. The theme is April Showers Bring May Flowers.
* Sunday, May 17 with caller Abe Maier. The potluck theme will be Italian foods.
All square dancers and spectators are welcome to join, the release said.
