Police safely locate the missing toddler after an Amber Alert was issued.
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — Prince George’s County Police say a missing 1-year-old girl whose disappearance triggered an Amber Alert on Saturday has been found safe.
They also say the suspect, a relative who they had determined was a “threat to the kid,” has been found and taken into custody.
According to Prince George’s County police, a citizen alerted law enforcement when they spotted the car associated with the incident.
Police have not indicated what kind of charges the person might face as a result of the incident.
Officials say the child was taken from a location in the 4200 block of Captain Perry Court in Upper Marlboro on Saturday.
They have not elaborated on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
