2 men killed, 3rd charged with obstruction in Roanoke Rapids convenience store shooting, police say

Two men are dead Wednesday night after a shooting in Roanoke Rapids.

According to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department, officers were called to a convenience store on Julian R. Allsbrook Road. When they arrived, officers found a man, Dasean L. Banks, dead outside. A second man, Anthony Shearin, was found inside the store with gunshot wounds.

EMS took SHearin to a hospital in Greenville, where he later died.

Police said in a release that they charged a third man, Ju-Quan Letrae Rawles, with obstruction of justice for his actions after the shooting.

Police said they had no further information to share, but that their investigation is ongoing.
