Nytavious Stone’s family mourns after he is killed in a shooting outside his workplace, a Milledgeville Buffalo Wild Wings.
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Nytavious Stone’s family is devastated, struggling to make sense of what they call a senseless tragedy.
The 25-year-old father of two was shot and killed Saturday night outside the Buffalo Wild Wings in Milledgeville, where he worked.
“We didn’t make it to family night, and I got there. And I was broken,” his sister Natalie Stone said. “The phone call broke me. I didn’t want nobody to hurt my baby brother.”
Stone’s sisters described him as a proud dad, a loyal brother, and the kind of person who could brighten a room just by walking into it.
“It’s unreal and so senseless,” one said as the family gathered around photos, laughing and crying, remembering a life now cut short.
Investigators say Stone got into a fight with another employee, 25-year-old William Brown. Police say the situation escalated outside the restaurant ending in gunfire. Stone was shot multiple times and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
William Brown is charged with aggravated assault. His twin brother, Micah Brown, is facing more serious charges, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
“They took my only brother. They took him from us like, for no reason,” said his sister Takija Redding. “Everybody’s so hot-headed, so quick to want to hurt each other, instead of just talking things out.”
Now, the family says all they have left are memories and the hope that someone will help them give Nytavious the goodbye he deserves.
A GoFundMe has been created to support funeral costs and the needs of his two children. You can find that page here: Fundraiser for Natalie Stone by Dawn Leverette : Support Natalie’s Family in Their Time of Loss
