FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. — A wildfire burning in eastern Fresno County has burned thousands of acres after sparking Sunday afternoon.
According to Cal Fire, the Garnet Fire has burned about 3,338 acres after starting south of Rodgers Ridge at Garnet Dike in the Sierra National Forest around 2:15 p.m.
Evacuation orders and warnings were issued for the fire.
ABC30 reported that the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities speculated it could be from thunderstorms that happened earlier in the day.

Evacuations were ordered for K27, K30 and K31. Evacuations warnings were given for K29.
