There’s a bumper day of racing to look forward to on Saturday and we have picked out four bets across the UK and Ireland in a Lucky 15.
All eyes will be on York for their final day of the Ebor Festival, the Ebor itself the obvious highlight of what is a tremendously competitive seven-race card on the Knavesmire.
Elsewhere in the afternoon, there’s a Premier Raceday meeting at Goodwood as well as competitive Flat action from Newmarket and the Curragh. Cartmel and Killarney stage the day’s two jumps fixtures while Windsor and Redcar host two Flat evening cards, the final race scheduled to go off at 8pm.
Here are our best horse racing betting tips to fill out your Lucky 15.

14:00 Newmarket – Albeseeingyer @ 13/2
Steff Hollinshead’s Albeseeingyer has shown more than enough in her two outings this season to suggest she has a race in her off her current mark.
The mare ran out an impressive five-length winner over this course-and-distance a year ago off a mark of 68 and is back within 5lb of that following a run of five defeats in a row.
Her run on her seasonal reappearance at Doncaster was particularly encouraging and, whilst she failed to match that at Chester subsequently, she didn’t run badly on a track that probably didn’t suit.
This looks arguably the easiest race she’s tackled for some time and Dougie Costello, who has been onboard for two of her three career wins, retains the partnership.
14:05 Goodwood – Back In Black @ 9/2
With seven of the 12 runners in this 7f handicap having won last-time-out, this looks a hot race, but James Fanshawe’s Back In Black created a good impression at Newbury on his reappearance and is open to more progress than most.
The son of Dark Angel has won twice from only five starts so far, supplementing last season’s Yarmouth maiden win with a smooth success on his reappearance off a mark of 86 at Newbury in April.
He’s not been seen since, suggesting he met with a setback, but he’s unlikely to want the ground too quick and has likely been trained with an autumn campaign in mind.
He interestingly has been given an entry in the Group 2 Park Stakes at Doncaster next month and he’ll need to be winning this off 92 if that’s to remain a realistic target.
15:50 Goodwood – Wicked @ 7/2
Wicked still has a long way to go if he’s to repay his 600,000 gns price tag, but he’d looked like a three-year-old on the up prior to last month’s no-show on heavy ground at Goodwood.
The John and Thady Gosden-trained colt, a close relation of 2,000 Guineas winner Magna Grecia and five-time Group 1 winner St Mark’s Basilica, overcame an awkward start and an early stumble when winning on his handicap debut over a mile at Sandown in May – proving particularly strong inside the final furlong.
He never went a yard in first-time cheekpieces at Goodwood subsequently, but he likely hated the underfoot conditions and is easily forgiven that effort.
He’s only 5lb above his win and has potential for significant improvement now that he tackles 1m2f for the first occasion.
17:40 Curragh – I’m Spartacus @ SP
Adrian McGuinness’ I’m Spartacus is yet to win on turf in 18 attempts, but he’s been given a real chance by the handicapper and warrants another chance, having shaped pleasingly at Ayr last time.
The son of Profitable has won four times on the all-weather, twice at Newcastle and twice at Dundalk, most recently at the Irish venue in February off a mark of 65.
Down to just 60 on turf, he ran comfortably his best race this summer when finishing third over 6f at Ayr 12 days ago. He faded gradually inside the final furlong on that occasion and could appreciate coming back to 5f, a trip he ran well over at Dundalk in the winter.
Only 13 got to post, but stall 12 looks a positive with three of the last four renewals having been won from double figure draws.
