Heisler Hospitality — the group behind bars like Sportsman’s Club, Queen Mary, and Estereo — teamed up with industry vets Abe Vucekovich (Meadowlark) and Terry Alexander (One Off Hospitality) to open this new West Town spot. Like the name suggests, Friends of Friends is a cozy, welcoming neighborhood bar with a large patio and fireplace. The cocktail names are simple descriptors like the Big & Spicy and Fruity & Savory, and there’s also Schlitz on draft — only fitting because the bar is housed in a former Schlitz tied house. A small food menu offers dips, a walking taco, and a ground beef bread pocket.
