The report of Jackson’s potential hand/wrist injury was premature, as it has been revealed that he was only stepped on. Team representatives said that he is fine.
There is nothing worse for NFL teams when the starting quarterback is injured. Despite multiple important positions, a passer getting hurt can derail an entire season. The Baltimore Ravens are now experiencing that frightening situation.
Another additional update from Adam Schefter also seems to confirm that Jackson did have some sort of wrist issue, as he was “flexing” it while walking off the field. It appears there could be more to this story after all.

Per reporter Jamison Hensley, Jackson had to exit practice with a concerning right wrist/hand injury.
“Ravens QB Lamar Jackson left Wednesday’s practice early with what appeared to be a right wrist/hand injury.
About 90 minutes into practice, Jackson got knocked down. He stayed for a few plays before heading into the facility.”
The report indicates that Jackson was knocked down and stayed down for a bit before heading into the training facility. A significant injury to Jackson would be horrible for the Ravens.

Had the Ravens lost Jackson to a hand or wrist injury, the team could have been in a world of trouble. The star passer has been one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league, securing two MVP awards for that fact.
Jackson should have arguably won his third in 2024, but that honor was bestowed on Josh Allen, who is also deserving.
Regarding Jackson, he secured 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns, and four interceptions in 2024. He also coupled that with 915 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Jackson’s first MVP award was given in 2019, when he secured 3,127 yards, 36 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also tacked on 1,206 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.
Jackson’s second MVP award came during the 2023 season, where he brought in 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, along with 821 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Simply put, Jackson remains one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and an injury would have been tough for the Ravens to deal with. Thankfully, he escaped the training camp situation with a potential sore leg from being stepped on.
