‘Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit’ roller coaster closes at Universal Studios

ORLANDO, Fla. — Sunday was the last day to ride the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit coaster at Universal Studios in Orlando.

Fans wore their “Farewell Tour 2025” T-shirts, sharing memories of the iconic vertical tilt start to the ride — a fan favorite.

Riders also got a free commemorative guitar pic on the way out.

The ride opened in 2009, but is closing forever on Aug. 18 to make way for a new attraction. Universal Orlando has not yet revealed any details on the project.
