Universal Orlando Resort announces opening date for Epic Universe theme park

Universal Orlando Resort shared a highly anticipated announcement surrounding the timeline for the all-new Epic Universe theme park.

Epic Universe is officially set to open on May 22, 2025, according to the park’s social media.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale beginning on October 22.

Epic Universe has been in the works for a long time coming as the 750-acre park will be the park’s fourth installment, joining Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay.

The park will feature five different immersive and innovative worlds including:

• Celestial Park – The heart of the new park and the first world guests enter. It is filled with rolling gardens, chasing waterways and strolling pathways.
• The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic – Explore international wizarding communities from 1920’s Paris to 1990’s British Ministry.
• Super Nintendo World – Play like never before with attractions such as Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country.
• How to Train Your Dragon – Isla of Berk – Explore the colorful Viking village, take part in boat battles, feast like Vikings and more.
• Dark Universe – A world of myth and mystery where monsters roam from the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein.

Epic Universe will feature more than 50 attractions, entertainment, dining and shopping experiences.

Celestial Park was the first world to have details about what’s inside.

Attractions and Experiences:

• Starfall Racers – A race across the cosmos on a dual launch rollercoaster reaching fast speeds above Celestial Park.
• Constellation Carousel – An imaginative carousel that lets you ride the constellations with celestial music and color.
• Astronomica – A wet-play area that features crystal blue fountains that spring to life and dance around guests.
• Full-service restaurants and quick-service locations that offer something for everyone. This includes Atlantic – a full-service “surf and turf” restaurant set inside a Victorian aquarium with views of Celestial Park.
• The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant – Enjoy authentic Pan-Asian cuisine or relax at the Tiger Bar.
• Nintendo Super Star Store – Nintendo toys, apparel and more will be featured at this location.

The addition of a new park also means the addition of three new hotels, including Helios Grand Hotel, the gem of Universal lodging, officials say.

Officials say Universal Helios Grand Hotel will have 500 rooms, views of the park and its own dedicated entrance to the park.

Two other themed hotels, the Stella Nova Resort and the Terra Luna Resort, are also opening on the property.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets will begin on Oct. 22 with select tickets before becoming more widely available.

The first set of tickets to go on sale will be multi-day tickets and vacation packages.

Guests will have the option to choose from three, four or five-day tickets with only one of those days at Epic Universe and the rest at Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of Adventure.

Initial reports say three-day tickets will range from $352 to $521, depending on dates. That equals roughly $118-$174 per park, per day.
