Four juveniles have escaped from the Edgecombe Youth Detention Center in Rocky Mount, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety announced Thursday.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety identified the four juveniles who escaped as Quadarius H., Jayden W., Eric M. and David B. The department did not provide their last names.

Four juveniles are wanted after escaping a youth detention center in Edgecombe County.

Division officials are concerned for the safety of both the juveniles and the public, due to a prior history of unpredictable behavior.

Authorities said the four escaped from the facility around 6:38 p.m. Thursday at 78 Positive Way in Rocky Mount.

The Rocky Mount Police Department said all four wore a standard khaki pants uniform, green polo-style shirts, gray sweaters and black shoes.

Anyone who sees the four escaped juveniles is asked to call 911.
