Cold air moving in overnight

[ad_1]

A cold front moves through the region early next week, bringing the breezy conditions and a cool down into the 60s for highs and 30s/40s for lows.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Tonight:

Clear and breezy, with lows dropping into the upper 30s in the mountains and the 40s in other locations.

Tuesday:

Sunny and very chilly with highs in the mid to upper 60s with breezy conditions.

Charlotte is trending dry for another week. It really isn’t until after next week that we have a better chance for even an isolated rain.

Rest of the week:

The cooldown: Highs will drop into the 60s by Tuesday and will not get back into the 70s until next weekend. Lows will also start in the low 40s on Tuesday morning and will be in the upper 30s on Wednesday and Thursday morning for the first time since early spring.

Tropical Update

There is no tropical  threat to the United States or Carolinas over the next week. A tropical wave is getting some unwarranted social media hype but is again no threat to the Florida gulf coast or the Carolinas. A large high pressure system should steer anything from swinging up into the United States.
