Know before you go: 5th Street Bridge in Yuba-Sutter to close temporarily

(FOX40.COM) — Officials are warning commuters to plan ahead for a temporary closure of the 5th Street Bridge that connects Marysville and Yuba City.

The City of Yuba City said it plans to close the bridge from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, for “essential maintenance.” Eastbound Bridge Street traffic in Yuba City and westbound 5th Street traffic in Marysville will be rerouted to the 10th Street Bridge.

“The City of Yuba City is committed to providing the highest quality service,” officials said in a press release. “We thank all residents who travel on the 5th Street Bridge for their cooperation and understanding.”
