Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines 1:1 Transfers Now Live
Alaska Airlines completed the acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines last week. The two airlines confirmed that members of both programs would be able to seamlessly transfer miles between Mileage Plan and HawaiianMiles at a 1:1 ratio.
And now, you are able to start transferring your miles. You can do so through Points.com. You can transfer as few as 50 miles up to your total available account balance.
Transfers should be instant in most cases, but it may take up to 72 hours for the transfer to be reflected in your account and for the miles to be available to use.
In order to complete a transfer in either direction, the profile information in both accounts must match.
I wrote earlier about an issue with Amex points transfers to Hawaiian Airlines. So if you were planning to transfer from Amex, you might have to wait until this is resolved, assuming it is a temporary glitch.
