Two killed outside Napa home

(KRON) — Two people were killed outside of a home in Napa on Thursday morning, the Napa Police Department said. The suspect was hospitalized after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The double-fatal shooting happened on the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue at about 9:45 a.m. Both victims died at the scene.

At about 1:30 p.m., an NPD officer saw the suspect driving near Juarez Street and 2nd Street. The officer attempted to pull the suspect over, but he drove off. His car eventually became disabled in Kennedy Park.

The armed suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Baltazar Rangel Juarez of Napa, refused to get out of his car and eventually shot himself, police said. He was taken into custody and hospitalized.

The victims were Georgina Padilla, 38, of Napa and Ralph Andino III, 54, of American Canyon.
