Sacramento County Sheriff's aircraft makes emergency landing in Yolo County after engine failure

(FOX40.COM) — A Sacramento County Sheriff’s aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Yolo County on Thursday morning after experiencing engine failure, according to the sheriff’s office.

While at an altitude of 500 feet, the aircraft crew reported engine failure and were three miles from Sacramento Executive Airport.

The crew ended up making an emergency landing near the intersection of Village Parkway and Lake Washington Boulevard in Yolo County.

The pilot reported having no injuries and was the only person onboard.
