(FOX40.COM) — Students at a Modesto area school have been evacuated from their campus on Thursday morning following a bomb threat, according to the Modesto City Schools.
Modesto High School was locked down after being cleared of students and school staff, according to the district.
The Modesto Police Department has begun investigating the threat’s credibility and sweeping the campus for any signs of a possible explosive device.
Students are not allowed on campus and any students on school buses headed for the high school are being diverted to Mark Twain Junior High School.
Parents can expect to receive further updates directly from the district via email and the Parent Square app.
