Roseville Gathering Inn catches fire, programs forced to relocate

[ad_1]

(FOX40.COM) — Patrons of the Gathering Inn in Roseville have been relocated after a fire on Sunday evening forced utilities to be shut off until further notice, according to the Roseville Fire Department.

Fire crews responded around 11:17 p.m. to 201 Berkeley Avenue for reports of heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the building.

The lower floor of the building is a laundry area and the upper floor is used for offices by Gathering Inn staff.

Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading beyond the second floor and no guests or employees were at the property during the fire, according to fire officials.

Although the lower floor that guests use was not damaged by the fire, utilities have been shut off to the building forcing The Gathering Inn to find another location for their daytime programs.

The Gathering Inn is working with Placer County faith organizations to secure a temporary location to relocate their daytime programs.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries have been reported.
