Weather Impact Alert Days on Friday and Saturday for temperatures in the mid- to high-90s

Portland is expected to see temperatures in the mid- to high-90s on on Friday and Saturday, with some parts of the Willamette potentially nearing triple digits.
PORTLAND, Ore. — KGW is issuing Weather Impact Alert Days for Friday and Saturday during Labor Day weekend due to high temperatures on both days expected to reach at least the mid-90s. Parts of the Willamette Valley could near 100 degrees on Saturday.
Wednesday will stay in the low 80s and the heat will start to increase on Thursday, with an expected high of 93 degrees. There’s high confidence that both Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30-31, will reach the mid-90s or hotter, according to KGW meteorologist Rod Hill. After that, temperatures will drop back into the 80s on Sunday, Sept. 1, with a forecasted high of 88 degrees.
