90s all week before rain and storms make a return

[ad_1]

This will be the hottest week we have had in over two weeks. Reminding us after that ‘false fall’ that summer is still indeed here.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After our early ‘false fall’ we are surging through the 90s this week and part of Labor Day weekend.

Today

It’s back to ‘summer’ today and the rest of the week!  Highs will be around 90 this afternoon with higher humidity and sunny skies. Skies will be clear tonight with lows in the mid 60s.

Rest of the week:

  • We return to the mid to upper 90s Tuesday – Thursday. Hottest highs since Augusts 1-2
  • The hottest days and feeling days of the week will be Wednesday and Thursday
  • Feeling a lot more humid by midweek. Feeling that ‘air you can wear’ by the end of the week

Increased rain chances:

  • A thunderstorm or two could pop late afternoon and evening on Wednesday and Thursday (but this is a very very small chance)
  • Friday will have a better shot at developing thunderstorms as a front draws closer to the area
  • Storm chances higher through the holiday weekend
