Discussion:
High pressure over the east coast will keep the forecast dry and cooler than average for the next week. Highs today will reach the low 80s with overnight lows falling into the low 60s for the Piedmont. It will be even more crisp for the Mountains where overnight temps will tumble into the 40s giving us that first early taste of Fall. This trend will continue through the end of the week. A shift in the upper pattern by this weekend will allow temps to warm back towards 90, but rain chances remain slim to none.
