Going to a 49ers home game? Train service is offering rides to Levi's Stadium

(FOX40.COM) — Fans of the San Francisco 49ers will have a travel option to games without driving to or parking at Levi’s Stadium this upcoming season.
Levi’s Stadium, the 49ers, and the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) announced they renewed their partnership to offer rides with the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE), which has stations throughout San Joaquin, Alameda, and Santa Clara counties.
The goal of the partnership is to encourage fans in those counties to take public transportation to events hosted at the stadium. ACE’s route goes from Stockton to San Jose with multiple stops along the way.
Other stops include Lathrop/Manteca, Tracy, Vasco Road, Livermore, Pleasanton, and Fremont.
“As a commuter train service, we value the importance and ease of connectivity for work and are delighted to, once again, partner with Levi’s Stadium in an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable transportation option for leisure travel,” SJRRC board chair Nancy Young said in a statement. “We want friends to be able to cheer on their team, allowing them to focus entirely on enjoying the game-day experience.”
Rides offered at select 49ers games
The special train service will take fans to and from the Santa Clara-Great America Station, which is steps away from the stadium, for seven regular season games.
ACE plans to run service to and from Levi’s Stadium for the following home games:
•Sunday, Sept. 29 vs. New England Patriots; 1:05 p.m.
•Sunday, Oct. 6 vs. Arizona Cardinals; 1:05 p.m.
•Sunday, Oct. 20 vs. Kansas City Chiefs; 1:25 p.m.
•Sunday, Oct. 27 vs. Dallas Cowboys; 5:20 p.m.
•Sunday, Nov. 17 vs. Seattle Seahawks; 1:05 p.m.
•Sunday, Dec. 8 vs. Chicago Bears; 1:25 p.m.
•Sunday, Dec. 30 vs. Detroit Lions; 5:15 p.m.

According to ACE’s website, round-trip tickets from Stockton to Great America are $27.50.
For game days with a 1:05 p.m. and 1:25 p.m. kickoff, the train leaves Stockton at 9:15 a.m. with an arrival time to Great America at 11:08 a.m. Following the game, the is scheduled to depart Great America at 5:09 p.m. with a 7:07 p.m. arrival to Stockton.

As for night games, the train is scheduled to depart Stockton at 12:50 p.m. with arrival to Great America set at 2:43 p.m. Train departures after the game are set for 9:24 p.m. with arrival time to Stockton scheduled for 11:42 p.m.
