'Armed and dangerous' NC man wanted for home invasion, more

MCDOWELL COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Local and state officials are searching for a man who allegedly broke into a McDowell County home Thursday night.

According to the sheriff’s office, Ryan Ricky Houston, 41, is wanted for multiple felony warrants in the county.

Officials said that Houston broke into the home shortly before midnight, assaulted the homeowner and stole a car and firearm. Deputies eventually located the car on I-40 near exit 90.

Houston is believed to have then broken into Skyline Marine, stealing a blue 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The four-door pickup truck is a 4×4 LTZ.

Deputies said the back windshield has the phrases “Skyline Marine,” “Honda” and “Bass Cat” on it.

This is not Houston’s first run-in with the law. The 41-year-old is currently out on bond for attempted first degree murder and assault on law enforcement in Buncombe County.

Law enforcement said that Houston is believed to be armed and dangerous, and that anyone who sees Houston or the vehicle do not approach and call (828) 652-2235 or 911 immediately.
