Sensory-Friendly Hours at Discovery Place Science First Sunday of Month – Charlotte On The Cheap

Discovery Place has announced that it is offering sensory-friendly hours at Discovery Place Science, 168 W 6th Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, the first Sunday of the month, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

During this time, guests with sensory sensitivities can explore the Museum’s exhibits in a calmer and quieter environment.

In addition, IMAX shows will be presented in a sensory-friendly manner, and there will be sensory backpacks with noise-canceling headphones, sensory-friendly toys and manipulatives available. The backpacks are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Admission

Admission during sensory-friendly Sundays is at regular prices. These are the advance ticket prices. (They are more at the desk.)

  • Adults (14-29): $23
  • Child (2-13): $18
  • Senior (60+): $20
  • Child (under 2): Free

There are several discounts available at Discovery Place Science.
