(KRON) — A “significant quantity” of illegal drugs was recovered from a Danville home following an investigation on Thursday. The Danville Police Department arrested one suspect, 32-year-old Danville local Mark Allen, for numerous charges, including selling drugs to a minor.

Two San Jose men arrested for string of armed robberies, attempted homicide

Police said a traffic stop was initially initiated on Allen, “providing cause” for a warrant to be served for the arrest and search at his home. Before initiating the search warrant, police arrested Allen in the Camino Ramon and Greenbrook Drive area.

After a search warrant was initiated at Farrel’s home, police found a significant amount of illegal drugs, “including methamphetamine, prescription pills, and marijuana vape pens,” police said. Photos also show what appear to be sets of needles and magic mushrooms (pictured below).

Allen has since been booked to the Martinez Detention Facility on $285,000 bail. His charges include:

  • Possession
  • Transportation
  • Sale of illegal drugs
  • Selling drugs to a minor
  • Child endangerment
  • Contributing to the delinquency of a minor

“This is a situation that put children in our community at risk, and I am extremely proud of the investigative work that led to removing these drugs from circulation,” said Danville Chief of Police Allan Shields. “We look forward to continuing our investigation and assisting the District Attorney’s Office with potential prosecution.”

This case is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Dan Lynch at 926-314-3703.
