Man shot and killed near library in San Jose

(KRON) — A man was shot and killed near Santa Teresa Public Library early Thursday morning, according to the San Jose Police Department. Officers responded to the 5900 block of Liska Lane at 4:49 a.m. on a report of shots fired.

Arriving at the scene, officers located a man who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives with the San Jose PD homicide unit responded to the scene and are actively investigating the incident. No other information was immediately available.
