19-year-old girl in critical condition after shot in Lumberton, police say

LUMBERTON, N.C. (WNCN) — Police are investigating after a teenaged girl was shot this weekend, according to the Lumberton Police Department.

At about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, officers said they were called to a home on the 900 block of Magnolia Way in reference to someone shot.

When officers arrived, they said they found a 19-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was airlifted to a hospital for treatment and was listed in critical condition as of early Sunday morning, according to the police department.

Police said the shooting remains under investigation.
