Quick Notes:
- Heat Advisory in place likely all week long
- Temps at or around 100°
- Low rain chances midweek
We finally did it. It’s the day we all knew was coming eventually. DFW hit 100° Sunday afternoon, and it looks to be the first triple-digit day of several to come in the next two weeks.
There are plenty more where that came from!
A heatwave continues to build this week, and dangerous heat is expected to stick around for quite a while. As of now, Heat Advisories are in effect for all of North Texas through Tuesday. This is likely to be extended each day this week, this weekend, and possibly into next week.

More triple digits
Temps will go up a degree or two each day with highs just hovering around 100° through this weekend. The other problem is increasing humidity, which means it will feel hotter than the actual temperature. With that being said, PLEASE remember your heat safety. Drink lots of water: dehydration can sneak up on you quickly in this heat.

Midweek rain chances
While coverage looks low, there actually could be a few showers and storms in North Texas on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
High pressure moves off to the west just enough to open the door for some showers and storms to either move into North Texas or develop during the day.
Best of the low chances will be northern North Texas with most of the area staying dry.
