Man hospitalized after shooting in southeast Raleigh neighborhood

A man was shot in a southeast Raleigh neighborhood early Thursday morning, according to authorities.

Around 1:40 a.m., Raleigh police responded to a shooting on Idlewood Village Drive. Investigators could be seen near a bus stop in the neighborhood. Authorities said the man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
