CHICAGO — Tom Palazzolo is not your average Joe … or Tom. He is a man of many talents known in the Chicago art scene for his paintings, photography and experimental films.
One of his 50 films documented the Chicago Pride Parade of 1976. Those early marches were a call to action encouraging people to fight homophobia and raise awareness of the injustices the LGBTQ community faced.
As part of WGN’s coverage of Pride Month, WGN Photojournalist Kevin Doellman spent a day with Tom at his Oak Park home.
